RESOLUTION NO. 10250
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of September, 1958 the
American Medical Association entered into a lease agreement
with the City of Miami Beach for the rental of the premises
and facilities of the Miami Beach Exhibition Hall for the
period of June 6, 1960 through June 21, 1960, and for the
Miami Beach Auditorium for the period from June 13, 1960
through June 17, 1960, inclusive, and
WHEREAS the said American Medical Association desires
to obtain two additional days for the purpose of moving into
the said Miami Beach Exhibition Hall, and one additional day
for the purpose of holding its meetings in the Miami Beach
Auditorium, and
WHEREAS there has been prepared a lease agreement for
the Miami Beach Exhibition Hall for the period June 4, 1960
through June 21, 1960 and for the Miami Beach Auditorium for
the period June 12, 1960 through June 17, 1960, inclusive,
with the terms of which the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, is familiar, and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interests of the
City of Miami Beach to enter into the said agreement which
supersedes the agreement covering the periods of June 6, 1960
through June 21, 1960 for the Miami Beach Exhibition Hall, and
the period of June 13, 1960 through June 17, 1960 for the Miami
Beach Auditorium,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute, in the
name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, the lease
agreement with the American Medical Association for the use
of the premises and facilities of the Miami Beach Exhibition
Hall for the period of June 4, 1960 through June 21, 1960,
and of the Miami Beach Auditorium for the period of June 12,
1960 through June 17, 1960, inclusive.
