Resolution 10252 RESOLUTION NO. 10252 WHEREAS, on September 19, 1956, by Resolution No. 9324, the City Council authorized and directed the City Manager to take such action as might be necessary to obtain such funds as may be available from the Federal Civil Defense Administrator toward the acquisition of emergency Civil Defense equipment for Mount Sinai Hospital, and WHEREAS, pursuant to application duly made in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Defense Act of June 12, 1951, Ch. 1228, 64 Stat. 1245, the City of Miami Beach purchased certain emergency generator equipment for use as a Civil Defense need and facility in Mount Sinai Hospital at a total cost of $38, 191.74, inclusive of cost of installation, and WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of Mount Sinai Hospital had theretofore advanced to the City of Miami Beach the said sum of $38, 191.74 and thereafter duly disbursed by the City of Miami Beach, and WHEREAS, thereafter, the City of Miami Beach pursuant to the provisions of said Civil Defense Act became entitled to, and did receive, the sum of $25, 483 .88 from the Florida State Civil Defense Council, as the latter' s contribution toward the cost of said Civil Defense equipment, which sum is held by the City of Miami Beach in trust for Mount Sinai Hospital, and WHEREAS Mount Sinai Hospital is now entitled to said sum of $25, 483 .88 received by the City of Miami Beach as aforesaid, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the proper disbursing officers of the City of Miami Beach are hereby authorized and directed to pay and transmit forthwith to the Board of Trustees of Mount Sinai Hospital the said sum of $25, 483,88 received and held by the City of Miami Beach in trust as aforesaid.
