Resolution 10293 RESOLUTION NO0 10293
WHEREAS there is now pending before the Civil
Aeronautics Board a proceeding known as the Southern
Transcontinental Air Service Case: and
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach has a vital interest
in the matters involved therein, and
WHEREAS Eastern Air Lines is an applicant for the
certification and permit to be granted at the conclusion of
said proceeding: and
WHEREAS Eastern Air Lines has made tremendous
contributions to the economic welfare of the City of Miami Beach,
not only by furnishing outstanding transportation facilities to
and from the City of Miami Beach: but also by expending vast sums
to advertise and promote throughout the United States the
superlative tourist facilities and attractions of the City of
Miami Beach
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: that the parties representing
the Greater Miami-Dade County areas in the Southern Transcontinental
Service Case be directed to exert every effort to secure the
certification of Eastern Air Lines for the routes involved in
said proceeding.
