Resolution 10353 RESOLUTION NO. 10353 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Section 1 of Resolution No. 7033 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "1. That there is hereby authorized and created a Board to be known as a "Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach" to be composed of ten (10) persons to be appointed in the manner hereinafter specified, with due consideration being given to City area representation: that the Mayor, City Manager, Assistant City Manager, and City Engineer, are here- by declared to be ex-officio members of the Planning Board; that the general purposes and objects of such Planning Board shall be to recommend the capital improvements needed by the City of Miami Beach, together with other needs for the future welfare of the City of Miami Beach, to recommend the order in which such suggested improvements and needs should be carried out, and to recommend the manner in which such improvements and needs shall be financed. The appoint- ment of the members of the Planning Board shall be accomplished by having each member of the City Council designate one person, which person shall be appointed by the City Council as a member of said Board, and the City Council shall, in addition to the seven persons so appointed, elect three (3) additional persons by majority vote". PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of July, A.D. 1960. / Mayor ATTES • / Cit Clerk RESOLUTION NO. ?0353 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS AFTER THE LAPSE OF SPECIFIED PERIODS OF TIME, AND AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN OTHER RECORDS AFTER THE LAPSE OF SPECIFIED PERIODS OF TIME PROVIDING SAID RECORDS HAVE BEEN REPRODUCED ON MICRO- FILM, AND PROVIDING FURTHER THAT THE CITY CLERK MAY RETAIN SAME FOR A LONGER PERIOD ':HEN DEEMED NECESSARY OR ADVISABLE, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NOV. 10298 PASSED AND ADOPTED THE 2ND DAY OF MARCH, 1960 , WHEREAS , detailed records of the City have accumulated for many years to the extent that it is becoming difficult to keep them properly stored and indexed, and WHEREAS , it has been determined and established through years of research in various cities and governmental units that no matter how important a record may be, it is useless to preserve it unless it can be found when wanted; also that knowing that_a record exists but not being able to find it is more disturbing than the knowledge that it has been destroyed, and WHEREAS , it has become customary practice to destroy detailed records after reasonable periods of time, preserving certain of same on microfilm from which photographic reproductions can be made, if, as and when needed in the future and which reproductions are now recognized and admitted in our Courts as evidence to the same effect as though they were the originals , and WHEREAS , investigation has shown that the periods of retention shown below for the described records are sufficient for all practical purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA . SECTION 1 .
