Resolution 10366 RESOLUTION NO. 10366
WHEREAS the best interests of the citizens and
residents of the City of Miami Beach require and demand that
it is necessary to employ a Latin American Representative
in the Public Relations Department, and
WHEREAS the duties of said position require the
possession of special and unique personal qualifications
of knowledge, skill, training and experience, and
WHEREAS PIERRE PEREZ has established his possession
of the foregoing requisites to the satisfaction of the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS the Public Relations Director has duly
recommended to the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
the employment of the said Pierre Perez in said capacity, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
has determined that the interests of the citizens and residents
of the City of Miami Beach require the approval and adoption
of said recommendation, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has prepared an agreement
providing for the employment of the said PIERRE PEREZ in the
position of Latin American Representative for a period
commencing on the 25th day of July, 1960 for a period of six
months at a weekly salary of $175 .00, and further provisions
of which are familiar to the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the Clerk of
the City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said agreement for and in behalf of the
City of Miami Beach and the appropriate financial and disbursing
officials of the City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby
directed to pay and disburse the sum or sums to the said
PIERRE PEREZ as specified and set forth in said agreement .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 1960 .
