RESOLUTION NO. 10379
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach has heretofore paid
Martin Miller, a police officer of the City, workmen's compensation
payments totalling $3,025 .20, and
WHEREAS the City thereafter filed its Claim of Lien
for said amount against the sum recovered by said Martin Miller
from the party responsible for injuries to said Martin Miller,
and
WHEREAS the Circuit Court has ordered that the City is
equitably entitled to recover 40% of the amounts paid by the
City to said Martin Miller for workmen's compensation, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has recommended acceptance
of said sum of $1, 210 .00 in satisfaction of said Lien,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that said recommendation be accepted,
and that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver a Satisfaction of Lien in the
amount of $1, 210 .00 against the sum so recovered by the said
Martin Miller.
