Resolution 10414 RESOLUTION NO. 10414
WHEREAS it has come to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach that the name of Professor
Irvin W. Katz, Principal of the Miami Beach Senior High School,
is to be placed in nomination for an American Educators Award
by the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge, and
WHEREAS, in addition to his superlative professional
attainments in the field of education, Professor Katz has,
throughout the years, demonstrated a selfless, tireless devotion
to duty, rare to behold, and
WHEREAS his record in the area of school and
community relationships is such as to give rise to justified
civic pride throughout the City of Miami Beach and the County
of Dade in his accomplishments, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
believes that Professor Katz richly merits such Award,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Committee on Awards of
Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge be and it is hereby
respectfully requested to favorably consider the demonstrated
qualifications of Professor Katz for such Award, and that the
same be thereafter conferred upon him as a well-deserved
recognition thereof,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that a certified copy of this resolution
be presented to the Committee on Awards of Fredoms Foundation
of Valley Forge.
