RESOLUTION NO. 10429
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, the Certificate of the
Vice Mayor, a member of said City Council, and the Super-
visor of Registration of the result of the canvass of the
returns of the Primary Election and Special Election held
in said City on November 22, 1960, and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has canvassed said re-
turns and certificate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
said City that they hereby adopt the said certificate as
the result of said election and it is hereby ordered that
the same be recorded in the minutes of this meeting as a
permanent record.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that inasmuch as said canvass
evidences that Harold B. Spaet was the successful candidate
for election to the office of Dade County Commissioner
from the City of Miami Beach by a majority vote of all
the votes cast in said election, that pursuant to the pro-
visions of Ordinance No. 1382, that that portion of Resolu-
tion No. 10386 calling for a General Election to be held
on November 29, 1960, be and the same is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk, who is
also Supervisor of Registration, be and he is hereby auth-
orized and directed to transmit to the proper officials of
Metropolitan Dade County official statements of the canvass
of said election held on November 22, 1960, and all other
necessary papers showing the result thereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of November, A. D.,
1960.
