Resolution 10443 RESOLUTION NO. 10443
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is considering amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 289,
commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami
Beach", so that that portion thereof which defines the term
"Night Club" as follows:
"The term "Night Club" shall pertain to
and include restaurants, dining rooms
and other similar establishments where
floor shows or other forms of lawful
entertainment are permitted or provided
for guests at any time between the hours
of 2:00 o'clock A.M. and 6:00 o'clock A.M.
in addition to the hours during which
such entertainment is otherwise permitted
by ordinance. "
shall read as follows:
"The term "Night Club" shall mean a
restaurant, dining room or other
similar establishment where intoxicating
liquor, beer or wine is sold or served
between the hours of 2:00 o'clock A.M.
and 6:00 o'clock A.M. and may be consumed
therein until such hour as shall be
permitted by ordinance, and where floor
shows or other forms of lawful entertainment
are permitted or provided for guests at
any time between the hours of 2:00 o'clock
A.M. and 6:00 o'clock A.M. in addition
to the hours during which such entertainment
is otherwise permitted by ordinance:
and
WHEREAS the City Council is further considering
amending all pertinent provisions of Chapter 15 of "The Code
of the City of Miami Beach, 1950 " so that the same shall conform
to the foregoing proposed amendment, if adopted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing be and
the same is hereby called to be held on the 18th day of January,
1961, at 11:15 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Miami Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he
is hereby directed to give fifteen (15) days' notice of the time,
place and object of said hearing by public notice thereof,
published in the Miami Beach Sun, a newspaper of general
circulation in said City.
