SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Re uest for Qualifications(RFQ) No.2018-183-KB for
Citywide Demolition Services
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018-183-KB, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified
contractors citywide demolition services. The City requires the services of demolition contractors for
those structures that the Unsafe Structures Board has ordered demolition, and for other City projects
that may require demolition. The services pursuant to the RFQ are not utilized by developers for
privately funded projects.
The City received proposals pursuant to this RFQ on Monday, August 20, 2018. The responsive
proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established
in the RFQ.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Ibrahim Alvarez, Senior Building Inspector, Building Department, City of Miami Beach
• Daniel Ceballos, Capital Project Coordinator, Capital Improvement Projects Office, City of
Miami beach
• Antonio Gonzalez, Operations Manager— Plan Review, Building Department, City of
Miami Beach
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Adrian Avalos, Chief Building Code Compliance Officer, Building Department, City of
Miami Beach
• Jose Perez, Capital Project Coordinator, Capital Improvement Projects Office, City of
Miami beach
• Narinder Singh, Deputy Director, Building Department, City of Miami Beach
• Ana Salguiero, Director, Building Department, City of Miami Beach
