Resolution 10507 RESOLUTION NO. 10507
WHEREAS JOHN POULOS has been in the service of the
City of Miami Beach as Park Superintendent for a period of
nine years, and
WHEREAS throughout said period his devotion to duty
has been so extraordinary and so exemplary that it must be
characterized as an emanation of a labor of love, and
WHEREAS that devotion has been combined with an
extraordinarily gifted proficiency in the science and art of
horticulture, and
WHEREAS the daily beauty of his arboreal and floral
displays and creations throughout the City awakens and maintains
in the hearts of its residents a personal and possessive civic
pride; symbolizes the City of Miami Beach as a City possessed of
aesthetic consciousness; and promotes the brotherhood of man
through the sharing of the common bond of the love of beauty in
life,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for each member thereof
and for and on behalf of each resident and visitor, do hereby
express his and their warm commendation and appreciation to
JOHN POULOS, Park Superintendent of the City of Miami Beach,
for his measureless contribution to the efforts of all to make
and maintain the City of Miami Beach "The City Beautiful" .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a copy of this Resolution
be presented to said JOHN POULOS, Park Superintendent of the
City of Miami Beach.
