Resolution 10508 RESOLUTION NO. 10508 WHEREAS, pursuant to its Charter powers, the City has constructed and is maintaining certain improvements, collectively known as the Lincoln Road Mall upon Lincoln Road, a public thoroughfare, and is duly regulating the use thereof by limiting the same to pedestrian traffic, and WHEREAS the Lincoln Road Mall Association, Inc. has been and is actively engaged in advancing the purposes and objects of said Mall, and WHEREAS the Association and the City have determined and agreed that the construction and maintenance of proper and suitable structures on said Lincoln Road Mall for the public display and exhibition of mercantile products would not be detrimental to the beauty of said Mall, and would attract numerous persons and potential customers thereto, and WHEREAS the City has no objection to the construction and maintenance of such structures for said purposes provided that the same shall in no way obstruct, impede or hinder the free passage of pedestrian or other permitted traffic on said Lincoln Road, and/or Mall, or in any way obstruct, impede or hinder the passage of persons in and out of any store, mercantile or other establishment abutting thereon, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Lincoln Road Mall Association be and it is hereby designated as the advisory body to the City Council of the City of Miami Beach with the power to recommend to the City Council for its approval such proper and suitable public displays and exhibitions of mercantile products as the City Council shall determine to be for the best interests of the City and the public.
