Resolution 10559 RESOLUTION NO. 10559
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach entered into an
agreement with Dade-Miami Eastern Ambulance Service, Inc. , now
known as Randle-Eastern Ambulance Service, Inc. , on the 18th
day of June, 1959, for the furnishing of emergency ambulance
service in the City of Miami Beach for a period of two years,
and
WHEREAS the said Randle-Eastern Ambulance Service,
Inc. is desirous of renewing this said agreement for an
additional period of two years commencing June 18, 1961 under
the identical terms and conditions as are contained in the
agreement dated June 18, 1959, except that the said agreement
shall set forth an additional clause providing that the
agreement may be re-negotiated if a certain ambulance contract
now in effect between Randle-Eastern Ambulance Service, Inc.
and Dade County is canceled, or if the City of Miami Beach
withdraws from the emergency aid plan of Dade County, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has prepared a renewal
agreement with the terms of which the City Council is familiar,
and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interests of
the City of Miami Beach to renew the said emergency ambulance
service agreement as herein set forth for an additional period
of two years,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
said agreement for and in the name of the said City.
