WHEREAS, Agreements have been heretofore prepared by the
terms of which various hotel operators of the City of Miami Beach,
in consideration of benefits which will accrue to such operators,
have agreed to pay over to the City an amount equal to five
percent (5%) of the gross room revenue accruing to the operators
from conventions booked and held in said City, and
WHEttEAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of
said agreements and deems it to be to the best interest of the
City that said agreements be entered into,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute in the
name of and on behalf of said City the said agreements which
are as follows :
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Arthur A.
Adler for the Allison Hotel, for the period extending
from September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREELENT between the City of Miami Beach and David
Diamond for the Bancroft Hotel, for the period extending
from September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Wm. Rodney
for the Bel-Aire Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Emanuel
Schein for the Bombay Hotel, for the period extending
from September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Ben P. Kazer
for the Broadripple Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Barry I.
Hesser for the Continental Hotel, for the period extending
from September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964 j
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Abe Geftner
for the Cromwell Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Leonard B.
Lang for the Claremont Hotel, for the period extending
from September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Irving Frankel
for the Fairfax Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and R. Biagiotti
for the Georgian Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;

AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Herman Kay
for the New Yorker Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Earl C. Gasser
for the Lucerne Hotel, for period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and George Margolis
for the Oasis Motel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Abe Muravchick
for the Promenade Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and L. Morton
for the Raleigh Hotel, for the period extending from
September 1, 1961 to August 31, 1964, and
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and Max Gopman
for the San Juan-Gale Hotel.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of July, 1961.
