A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA SUPPORTING THE MIAMI BEACH HIGH
SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD IN ITS
EFFORTS TO ENCOURAGE AND COORDINATE
COMMUNITY INPUT IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND
CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FACILITIES FOR MIAMI
BEACH HIGH SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce has recently
established the Miami Beach High School Development Advisory Board to
provide a citizens' forum to encourage and coordinate community input in the
development and construction of new facilities for Miami Beach High School; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach High School Development Advisory Board
is comprised of citizens and professionals interested in working with the Miami-
Dade County School Board in the planning and development of improved facilities
for Miami Beach High School; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach support the Miami Beach High School Development Advisory Board in its
efforts to coordinate community input and to work with the Miami-Dade County
School Board in this regard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR
AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
that the Miami Beach High School Development Advisory Board is hereby
supported in its efforts to encourage and coordinate community input in the
development and construction of new facilities for Miami Beach High School.

The purpose of the newly established M/am/Beach H/gh 5choo/ Advisory Board
(MBHSAB) through the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is to provide a
citizens' one stop location to coordinate community input in the development
and construction of Miami Beach High School. Consequently, I am requesting
that the Legal department draft a resolution supporting this issue and to place
it on the April 30th agenda for consensus.
At the request of the MBHSAB, please provide a time certain for this item.
