Resolution 10690 RESOLUTION NO. 10690 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Metropolitan Dade County Commission be formally informed and advised by this Resolution that the City Council of the City of Miami Beach has duly determined that the location and proposed construction of an oil refinery in Dade County is grossly incompatible with and gravely inimical to the prosperity, best interests, well-being and health of the people of Dade County, and the City of Miami Beach, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Metropolitan Dade County Commission be formally advised by this Resolution that the City Council of the City of Miami Beach is gravely concerned and deeply apprehensive that the certainty of hazards involved in the construction and operation of an oil refinery in Dade County Florida grossly exceed any speculative and negligible benefits, and that the resultant and directly consequent damage caused by pollution of air and water and injury to health and property would be incalculable, permanent and irreparable.
