Resolution 10715 RESOLUTION NO. 10715 WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is the owner of a parcel of submerged land in Biscayne Bay lying between Di Lido Island and the Julia Tuttle Causeway consisting of 102. 2 acres more or less, title to said parcel having here- tofore passed from the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida and thereafter from Placer Development Corporation to the City of Miami Beach by deed dated the 27th day of October, 1944 and recorded in Deed Book 2439, page 332 of the public records of Dade County, Florida, and WHEREAS, said City desires and intends to acquire additional land adjacent to said parcel with the intention of developing the whole for recreation purposes for public use, and WHEREAS, in order to provide means of ingress and egress to the recreation area so to be created, it will be necessary to connect with the right-of-way of the Julia Tuttle Causeway . NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida that the City Engineer and the city ' s legal consultant, Ben Shepard, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to apply to the State Road Department of the State of Florida on behalf of said City for permission to connect with said right-of-way and to provide such overpasses as may be necessary or required to provide for ingress and egress with the least possible t interference with the flow of traffic on the Julia Tuttle Causeway.
