Resolution 10751 RESOLUTION NO. 10751
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, for itself and for and on behalf of its citizens and
residents, that it and they favor and desire a fair and equit-
able plan for the reapportionment of representation in the
Senate and House of Representatives of the Florida Legislature;
that it and they do not consider the proposed Constitutional
Amendment to be voted upon in November, 1962 as being respon-
sive to the command and dictate of Article VII, Section 3, of
the Florida Constitution, and therefore it and they respect-
fully urge all persons concerned and interested in the welfare
of the State of Florida to press upon each and every member
of the Florida Legislature the urgency and immediate necessity
for the evolvement of a reapportionment plan truly compliant
with the mandate of said Constitutional provision.
