Resolution 10779 RESOLUTION NO. 10779
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is considering amending Sub-section 3 (e) of Section 17
of Ordinance No. 289, being the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, by adding at the end of the first para-
graph of said Sub-section 3 (e) an additional provision reading
as follows:
"This marquee may be increased in size beyond the
projection of 20' square in a horizontal plane to a
maximum of 30 ' x 50' parallel to the street or front
yard of the building; provided that a 20' distance be
maintained from the side yards to such marquee; and
provided further that the applicable side yards dis-
tances must be maintained from the street or front
yard parallel to such marquee";
and also a further additional provision to the
effect that:
"There shall be a minimum height of 10' between the
surface of the driveway and the underside of the
marquee; a maximum height above the driveway of 18 ' ;
and a maximum height above grade of 24 ' . "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing be and the
same is hereby called to be held on the 18th day of July, 1962,
at 11: 00 o 'clock A.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Miami
Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby directed to give fifteen (15) days ' notice of the time,
place and object of said hearing by public notice thereof,
published in the Miami Beach Daily Sun, a newspaper of general
circulation in said City.
