A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF OUTDOOR
FITNESS EQUIPMENT FROM METALCO ACTIVE USA, INC., WHICH
WILL BE LOCATED IN CITY PARKS FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF
THE PUBLIC.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has been offered a donation of certain outdoor
fitness equipment by Metalco Active USA, Inc. (Metalco) known as the "MyISLE GOLIATH," a
wellness sculpture with 11 fitness stations (Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the donated fitness equipment will be installed in City parks and subject to
any and all required City approvals; and
WHEREAS, Metalco will also donate its staff time and marketing materials. Metalco will
also coordinate the installation of the fitness equipment with City Staff; and
WHEREAS, the City will be responsible for any required fill, landscaping, and permitting
that may be required for the installation of the donated fitness equipment; and
WHEREAS, the state-of-the-art fitness equipment to be donated to the City by Metalco
is valued at $37,000.00 and will provide a high quality fitness amenity to be used and enjoyed
by the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby approve and authorize the City of Miami Beach to accept a donation of
outdoor fitness equipment from Metalco Active USA, Inc., which will be located in City parks for
the use and benefit of the public.
