Resolution 10803 RESOLUTION NO. 10803
BE IT UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that it approves and endorses the "Fifth
Proposed Charter Amendment" to the so-called Home Rule Charter
of Metropolitan Dade County to be voted upon by the electorate
of Dade County at the Special Election to be held in Dade County
and the City of Miami Beach on the 21st day of August, 1962, and
that each elector in the City of Miami Beach be advised that it
is the consensus of the City Council that the approval and
adoption of said Amendment by the electorate at suit election
is essential to the welfare of the residents and citizens of
Dade County and the City of Miami Beach and will constitute a
demonstrable return to the people thereof of rights guaranteed
to them in the Preamble to said Home Rule Charter but wrongfully
usurped by Metropolitan Dade County, contrary to, and in viola-
tion of the true intent of said Charter, and every elector in
the City of Miami Beach is urged to vote for, support, and
advocate the adoption of said Amendment at said Election.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of August, 1962 .
