Resolution 10823 RESOLUTION NO. 10823
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach requires the services
of a person capable of handling responsible public relations
work in connection with conventions to be held in the City of
Miami Beach, under the designation of "Convention Assistant" ;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said
position requires a person possessing peculiar and excep-
tional qualifications of a professional and educational char-
acter not susceptible to precise delineation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that JAMES WOOD
possesses the necessary qualifications for said position; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement for
employment of the said James Wood in the position of convention
assistant for a period of one year, in accordance with the
terms and provisions of said agreement, with which the City
Council is familiar; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be to the best interests of the
City of Miami Beach to enter into the said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the said agreement for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach,
') and Lhe appropriate financial and disbursing officials of the
City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby directed to pay and
disburse the sum or sums to the said James Wood as specified
and set forth in said agreement.
