SUBJECT: PIC Committee Motion
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission is to inform the City Commission of a motion
passed by the Miami Beach Production Industry Council ("PIC") during their Thursday, June
14, 2018 meeting.

MOTION: We move that the Miami Beach City Commission launch a campaign to highlight
the return of film production to the City of Miami Beach, including a major social media push
that includes content such as: highlighting local independent filmmakers. red carpet
premiere coverage, and behind the scenes videos: and also move that City of Miami Beach
should reach out to local production companies to contribute content to the City of Miami
Beach Film & Print webpage, including but not limited to, behind the scenes footage.
