Resolution 10886 RESOLUTION NO. 10886 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the matters and things set forth by this City Council by its Resolution No. 10852 adopted on the 7th day of November, 1962, opposing the construction of the so-called Mid Bay Causeway, and hereinafter set forth in full, be and the same is hereby reiterated and affirmed: "BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that, following due and deliberate consideration of the project commonly known as the "Mid-Bay Causeway" it is the consensus of the Council of the City of Miami Beach that the beauty of Biscayne Bay is a priceless heritage to be preserved for the people of the City of Miami Beach and all of Dade County and their posterity; and that the transformation of Biscayne Bay into a monstrous maze of concrete and asphalt euphemistically termed an "Expressway" would constitute a need- less and wanton destruction of property values not only in the City of Miami Beach, but also in Dade County, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that this Resolution be transmitted to the Metropolitan Dade County Commission as being an expression of the delib- erate and considered judgment of the duly author- ized representatives of the citizens of Miami Beach, Florida in opposition to the attempted resuscitation of said ill-favored project denom- inated "Mid-Bay Causeway" .
