Resolution 10902 RESOLUTION NO. 10902
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has heretofore entered into
an agreement with Chris Dundee, said agreement being dated August 6,
1958, which said agreement contained, among other things, the
following:
"33. The 'Promoter ' shall not hold either boxing or
wrestling shows in any other part of Dade County, except
television performances, when such performances conflict
with other events scheduled for the Auditorium and Exhibition
Hall Buildings, in which case the show shall be held within
the City limits of Miami Beach. "
and
WHEREAS, the City and said Chris Dundee are mutually desirous
of amending said agreement so as to permit the said Chris Dundee to
hold boxing and wrestling matches in the City of North Miami Beach,
even though such shows or wrestling matches conflict with other
events scheduled for the Auditorium and Exhibition Hall Buildings;
and
• WHEREAS, the Attorney for the City has prepared an amendment
to said agreement accomplishing the desired result, with the terms
of which the City Council is familiar;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
amendment to agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City.
