RESOLUTION NO. 10906
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach requires the services
of a person capable of handling responsible public relations
work in connection with conventions to be held in the City of
Miami Beach, under the designation of "Convention Assistant",
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said
position requires a person possessing peculiar and exceptional
qualifications of a professional and educational character
not susceptible to precise delineation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that FRED M.
HITT possesses the necessary qualifications for said position,
and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement for
employment of the said Fred M. Hitt in the position of conven-
tion assistant for a period of one year for the agreed total
compensation of $8,000 .00, payable as set forth in said agree-
ment, in accordance with the terms and provisions of said
agreement, with which the City Council is familiar, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be to the best interests of the
City of Miami Beach to enter into the said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
said agreement for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach,
and the appropriate financial and disbursing officials of the
City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby directed to pay and
disburse the sum or sums to the said Fred M. Hitt as specified
and set forth in said agreement .
