The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to invite you to attend the annual Miami Beach Student
Expo in support of our Education Compact with Miami-Dade County Public Schools at Miami Beach
Senior High School on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The 2018 Student Expo marks our tenth year partnering with our public schools to display
educational programs available across the City of Miami Beach, highlighting City initiatives such as
the International Baccalaureate Program, dual enrollment, afterschool enrichment, in-school reading
and math interventions, and behavioral health services. The event includes, but is not limited to, the
following:
• Curriculum Fair
• International Baccalaureate Information
• Student Performances
• Student Art Galleries
• City of Miami Beach Housing & Community Development
• City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Services
• Health and Wellness Services
• School District Student Services
• Online Parent Portal
• The Parent Academy
• Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce
• The Children's Trust
• City of Miami Beach Organization Development Performance Initiatives
