Resolution 10915 RESOLUTION NO. 10915
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach owns and operates the
Miami Beach Auditorium and the Miami Beach Convention Hall,
and
WHEREAS the said public buildings represent a financial
investment of substantial proportions, and
WHEREAS the best interests of the citizens and residents
of the City of Miami Beach require and demand that said
public buildings be utilized to the fullest possible extent,
and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach has
determined that in order to achieve the foregoing purpose, it
is necessary to employ an Assistant Auditorium and Convention
Hall Manager, and
WHEREAS the duties of said position require the possession
of special and unique personal qualifications of knowledge,
skill, training and experience, and
WHEREAS Stuart Blumberg has established his Possession
of the foregoing requisites to the satisfaction of the Miami
Beach Auditorium and Convention Hall Advisory Board, and
WHEREAS said Board has duly recommended to the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach the employment of the said Stuart
Blumberg in said capacity, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach has
determined that the interests of the citizens and residents
of the City of Miami Beach require the approval and adoption
of said recommendation, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has prepared an agreement
providing for the employment of the said Stuart Blumberg in
the position of Assistant Miami Beach Auditorium and Convention
Hall Manager for a period commencing on the 11th day of
February, 1963 and terminating on the 10th day of February, 1964,
at an annual salary of $8,000 .00, and further provisions of
which are familiar to the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach and the
appropriate financial and disbursing officials of the City of
Miami Beach be and they are hereby directed to pay and disburse
the sum or sums to the said Stuart Blumberg as specified and
set forth in said agreement.
