Resolution 10917 RESOLUTION NO. 10917
WHEREAS, by Lease designated Lease NOy (R) -55357, executed
by the City of Miami Beach 3 April, 1958 and by the U. S. of
America 5 September, 1958, the City leased to the Government
certain wharf areas known as Areas "A" and "B" located in
Block One Hundred Eleven (111) , Ocean Beach Addition No. 3,
the description of the leased premises being more fully
described in the said Lease; and
WHEREAS, the parties to said Lease desire to amend the
said Lease to eliminate therefrom Area "B" and to make certain
other changes in the provisions of the Lease as hereinafter
mentioned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that in consideration
of the premises and the foregoing, it is agreed that Lease
NOy (R) -55357 is and shall be amended as follows:
1. Delete the sketch presently attached to the said
Lease and in lieu thereof substitute the sketch marked
"Revised 14 January, 1963 to delete Area "B" attached hereto
and marked Exhibit "A" .
2. Delete the description of Area "B" as contained in
the description of the leased premises attached to the said
Lease.
3 . Delete the last paragraph contained in the description
of the leased premises attached to the said Lease and in lieu
thereof substitute the following:
"The Lessor, by these presents, hereby leases Area "A"
to the Government for the purpose of berthing the reserve
training ship, U. S. S. Thrush" .
4. Delete the words "District Public Works Officer, Sixth
Naval District" as same appear in Item 9g. as amended and sub-
stitute in lieu thereof the following:
"Director, Southeast Division - Bureau of Yards and
Docks"

I 5 . Delete Item 9o. and in lieu thereof substitute the
following:
"Item 9o. The Government will load and unload stores,
cargo and personnel in Area "A" and the Lessor shall
provide the Government appropriate access to the leased
premises" .
+I Except as herein or elsewhere modified, all terms and
conditions of said Lease shall remain and continue in full force
and effect .
