A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION
TO THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS, U. S. ARMY, FOR A
MODIFICATION OF AN EXISTING PERMIT TO PROVIDE
FOR THE LOWERING OF THE SUBMARINE WATER MAIN
SUPPLYING FISHER'S ISLAND TO CLEAR THE PROPOSED
WIDENING OF THE MUNICIPAL SHIP CHANNEL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
That 0. M. Pushkin, City Manager for said City, be
and he is hereby directed and authorized to make applica-
tion to the Corps of Engineers, U. S. Army, for a
modification of existing Permit No. 335+ to permit the
City of Miami Beach to lower the existing submarine
water main now serving Harbor Terminal Island, commonly
called Fisher 's Island, to provide proper clearance of
widening the Municipal Channel 100 feet on the south side
of said channel in the City of Miami Beach, and the City
i of Miami, Florida, and to make such application in the
name of the City of Miami Beach, or in his own name as
representative of said City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of March, 1963.
