Resolution 10955 RESOLUTION NO. 10955
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of February, 1963, the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach found and determined
that Michie City Publications Co. , Inc. was the lowest
and best bidder for the publication of a new edition of
the City Code, and duly authorized the entry of a contract
therefor with said Company, and
WHEREAS, by the terms of said contract, said Company
agreed to edit and print supplemental pages to said Code
at the rate of $9.50 a page for a period of three years
(the first twenty-five pages of the first supplement to
be edited and printed at no cost to the City) and
WHEREAS, thereafter the said Company has offered to
modify said agreement by agreeing to extend the same for
a period of five years; the rate for supplemental pages
for the first three years being as above set forth, but
that for the fourth and fifth years, the Company would
edit and print supplemental pages at a cost not exceeding
$10 .00 a page, but would use its best efforts to maintain
the rate of $9.50 a page, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
finds and determines that it is for the best interests
of the City and its citizens to modify said agreement in
the manner hereinabove set forth and as is also set forth
in that certain letter from the Company to the City Clerk
dated 25 January 1963 and the Mayor and the City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute said modified
agreement accordingly in the name and on behalf of the
City of Miami Beach and that the appropriate disbursing
officers of the City make payment accordingly .
