BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH that any change or alteration in the five County
Commission Districts as they now exist pursuant to Section
1.03 of the Metropolitan Dade County Charter upon the mere
factor of population alone without adequate and appropriate
consideration of the character and the geography of the
respective districts, as required by said Charter would
be, in the considered judgment and determination of the
City Council of the City of Miami Beach, contrary to and
violative of the substantial rights of the residents of
the City of Miami Beach, for constitutional representation
in the affairs of Dade County,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy
of this Resolution be transmitted to the Dade County Manager
and to each member of the Dade County Commission.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of April, 1963 .
