A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE MONTH OF
NOVEMBER, 1967, AS COMMUNITY SCHOOL
MONTH.
WHEREAS, the IDA FISHER COMMUNITY SCHOOL has served the
citizens of Miami Beach by providing cultural and educational
opportunities of a wide and varied nature; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Miami Beach have responded to
this institution by attending at the rate of 5, 000 persons
per week; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has continually
supported the Community School financially and otherwise,
and continues to recognize the value of educational
opportunities for all of its citizens, both young and old;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the month of
November, 1967, be and the same is hereby declared and
proclaimed as being "COMMUNITY SCHOOL MONTH" .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that all citizens be encouraged
and urged to continue their growth and development by
returning to school and taking advantage of the educational
and social opportunities which are readily available in
their own community at the IDA FISHER COMMUNITY SCHOOL,
1424 Drexel Avenue , Miami Beach, Florida.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of October, 1967 .
