SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018-327-KB
Washington Avenue Corridor Conceptual Design Plan
The purpose of this L TC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018-327-KB, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified
consultant for the Washington Avenue corridor conceptual design plan.
On October 12, 2018, L TC # 548-2017 notified the City Commission that the City Manager had
appointed an evaluation committee to review proposals received pursuant to the RFQ. However, it
is necessary to make changes to the Evaluation Committee.
I am now considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Jose Gonzalez, Director, Transportation Department, City of Miami Beach
• Rodney Knowles, Greenspace Division Director, Public Works Department, City of Miami
Beach
• Marc Lawrence, Board Member, Washington Avenue Business Improvement District (BID)
• Andrew Resnick, Chair, Washington Avenue Business Improvement District (BID)
• Heather Shaw, Acting Director, Tourism, Culture, & Economic Development Department,
City of Miami Beach
• Debbie Tackett, Chief of Historic Preservation, Planning Department, City of Miami Beach
• Elizabeth Wheaton, Director, Environment & Sustainability Department, City of Miami Beach
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• James Murphy, Chief of Urban Planning, Planning Department, City of Miami Beach
