Resolution 11229 RESOLUTION NO. 11229
WHEREAS on the 8th day of July, 1959 one ARTHUR CARTER,
an employee of the City of Miami Beach, suffered a Workmen's
Compensation accident, and
WHEREAS the said ARTHUR CARTER recovered a $1, 000.00
Judgment against the third party, who was alleged to have been
responsible for the injury to the said ARTHUR CARTER, and
WHEREAS the Insurance Carrier for the alleged negligent
third party has offered to settle the City' s Workmen' s Compensa-
tion Subrogation Lien of $853. 61 for the sum of $200.00, and
WHEREAS such settlement is deemed to be in the best
interest of the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has prepared a Release of the
said Subrogation Lien with the terms of which the City Council is
familiar,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the said Agreement releasing its Workmen' s Compensation Subroga-
tion Lien as the result of the Workmen' s Compensation accident of
the said ARTHUR CARTER.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of June , 1964.
