Resolution 11266 RESOLUTION NO. 11266
WHEREAS, City Council is considering amending Ordinance
No. 289, commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of Miami Beach,
Florida", so as to provide that:
1. That Chapter 32.10 (b) of the Code of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, 1950, reading as follows:
"Flat signs shall not be restricted as to area"
be amended to read as follows :
"Flat signs shall be restricted to not over 1/3
of the wall area, but not exceeding 224 square
feet. "
2. That Section 32.12 of the Code of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, 1950, be amended by adding
thereto a subsection (d) , reading as follows :
"All electrical signs may be self-illuminating,
but flashing or intermittent lights as well as
revolving or rotating signs are prohibited.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing be and the
same is hereby called to be held on the 2nd day of Septemb,r
1964, at 2 :00 o'clock P .M. in the Council Chambers, City
Hall, Miami Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said
amendment .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby directed to give fifteen (15) days ` notice of the time,
place and object of said hearing by public notice thereof,
published in the Miami Beach Daily Sun, a newspaper of general
circulation in said City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 1964.
