Resolution 11284 RESOLUTION NO. 11284
WHEREAS, Agreements have been heretofore prepared by the
terms of which various hotel operators of the City of Miami Beach,
in consideration of benefits which will accrue to such operators,
have agreed to pay over to the City an amount equal to five
percent (5%) of the gross room revenue accruing to the operators
from conventions booked and held in said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of
said agreements and deems it to be to the best interest of the
City that said agreements be entered into,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute in the
name of and on behalf of said City the said agreements which
are as follows: all for the period of time commencing September 1,
1964 and extending to and including August 31, 1967 :
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and the
Claremont Hotel, dated July 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and the
National Hotel, dated July 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and the
Pierre Hotel, dated July 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of MiamiBeach and the
Richmond Hotel, dated July 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and the
Royal Palm Hotel, dated July 31, 1964;
AGREEMENT between the City of Miami Beach and the
St. Moritz Hotel, dated July 31, 1964.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1964.
