RESOLUTION NO. 11385
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
is considering amending Ordinance No. 289, commonly known as
the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami Beach, Florida", so
as to exclude from the "BAA" Business Use District and to include
in the "RE" Multiple family Use District, as said Use Districts
are defined in said ordinance, and to include in an appropriate
Area District the following described parcels of land situate
in Miami Beach, Florida:
All of Lot 41 and All of Collins Island and all of
John's Island as said Islands are shown on a plat of
NAUTILUS SUBDIVISION, Plat Book 8, Page 95 of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida, less a strip of land
on the easterly side of Collins Island dedicated to the
State Road Department for highway purposes; and less a
strip of land on the easterly side of said Lot 41,
dedicated to the State Road Department for highway
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach is further
considering amending said ordinance by excluding from the "RD"
Single Family Use District and to include in the "RE" Multiple
Family Use District, as said Districts are defined in said
ordinance, and to include in an appropriate Area District the
following described parcels of land situate in Miami Beach, Dade
County, Florida, to-wit:
Parcel 1: being a parcel of filled land southwest of
Collins Island as said Island is shown on said Plat of
NAUTILUS SUBDIVISION, said parcel of land being more
particularly described by metes and bounds by a map
on file at the office of the City Clerk of Miami Beach,
Florida, to which all interested parties are hereby
referred; and
Parcel B: being a parcel of filled land lying between
Collins Island and John 's Island as said Islands are
shown on the Plat of said NAUTILUS SUBDIVISION, said
parcel of land being more particularly described by
metes and bounds by a map on file at the office of
the City Clerk of Miami Beach, Florida, to which all
interested parties are hereby referred; and
Parcel C: being a parcel of filled land surrounding
John 's Island as said Island is shown on said Plat of
said NAUTILUS SUBDIVISION, said parcel of land being
more particularly described by metes and bounds by a
map on file at the office of the City Clerk of Miami
Beach, Florida, to which all interested parties are
hereby referred.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing be and the same
is hereby called to be held on the 7th day of April, 1965, at
Two o 'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Miami Beach,
Florida, for the consideration of said amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to give fifteen (15) days" notice of the time, place
and object of said hearing by public notice thereof, published
in the Miami Beach Daily Sun, a newspaper of general circulation
in said City.
