Resolution 11392 RESOLUTION NO. 11392
WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Dade County,
Florida, is preparing a Schedule for the construction and recon-
struction of certain Primary Roads in Dade County for submission
to the State Road Department for the 1965-1966 fiscal year, and
WHEREAS said Schedule as proposed and recommended by the
Department of Public Works and Roads of Dade County fails to in-
clude therein the following:
"1. 5TH STREET FROM ALTON ROAD TO COLLINS AVENUE.
Proposed R/W: 160 ft. Existing R/W: 70 ft.
Proposed Pavement: 110 ft. Existing Pavement: 49 ft. with
including curb and
two 35 ft. roadways and 40 ft. gutter and sidewalks.
landscaped central Parkway and
a 7 ft. and 8 ft. sidewalk and
landscaped parkway on each side.
2 . COLLINS AVENUE FROM 75TH STREET TO 87TH TERRACE.
Proposed R/W: 95 ft. Existing R/W: 60 ft.
Proposed Pavement: 80 ft. Existing Pavement: 49 ft. with
including curb and

WHEREAS the benefits to be derived by all of Dade County if
not, indeed, the State of Florida in its entirety, by the
embarkation upon the foregoing projects, are of such magnitude,
dimensions and variety as to inspire the imagination and to fire
the energies of all persons dedicated to the advancement of Dade
County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Board of County Com-
missioners of Dade County, Florida, be and it is hereby respect-
fully and strongly urged to earnestly commend the foregoing
projects to the State Road Department as being mandatory
imperatives to be initiated forthwith, and to be accomplished
with all reasonable expedition.
