WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WW- 135 WW-135
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORID,
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Char-
ter:
WW-135 Both sides of Island Avenue South of Venetian
(Bridge Road) Way from Venetian (Bridge Road)
Way to Venetian (Bridge Road) Way to be improved
witha whiteway lighting system of ornamental
posts and lamps at approximately 200' apart on
each side with underground connections for
lighting.
As said Island Avenue and Venetian (Bridge Road)
Way are shown on Plats recorded in Plat Book 5 ,
Page 11 and Plat Book 53, Page 24 of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an
estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of
the expenses of preliminary and other surveys , the inspection and
superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and specifica-
tions and estimates , the printing and publication of notices and
proceedings , the preparation of bonds , interest during construction,
legal services , abstracts , etc. , and any other expenses necessary
and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided
for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot
of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost
of such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-135 and
is described as follows :
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting
on Island Avenue South of Venetian (Bridge
Road) Way.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property
0 the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion lo the City such
portion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total
cost as the length of the street intersections bears to the total
street frontage within the district.
The Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings , assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW- 135 , and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District WW- 135.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 7th DAY OF April, A.D. 1965.
