SUBJECT: Government Use (GU) Districts Lo ated within Designated Historic Districts
On September 12, 2018, pursuant to item C4A, the City Commission referred the following item
to the Land Use and Development Committee:
AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 142-425, OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS TO PROVIDE FOR A RECOMMENDATION BY THE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION BOARD, PRIOR TO ANY GU WAIVER OF DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS WITHIN A LOCAL HISTORIC DISTRICT.
Pursuant to this referral, the City Commission requested that data regarding the geographical
scope of the proposal and GU (Government Use District) properties within the City's Historic
District be distributed via LTC. Attached are two maps, showing all GU properties in the City,
which are located within a Designated Historic District.
The item is pending before the Land Use Committee, and is scheduled to be discussed on
November 28, 2018.
