Resolution 11529 RESOLUTION NO. 11529
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA that the Legislature of the State of Florida be
and it is earnestly urged to incorporate into any appropriate
legislative re-apportionment plan to be adopted by it, a system
whereby members of the Legislature to be elected from Dade
County shall be elected from suitable districts, equal as near
as may be in area and population, rather than by the present
County wide method, and thereby achieve a higher and better
degree of representation for all of the people of Dade County,
Florida.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this
Resolution be addressed to each member of the Legislature of
the State of Florida.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of May , 1965.
