Resolution 11589 RESOLUTION NO. 11589
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is considering amending Ordinance No. 289, commonly
known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami Beach
Florida" , so as to place all parcels of land in the City of
Miami Beach being situate north of the northerly line of the
Lincoln Road Mall; said northerly line being also extended
easterly to the Atlantic Ocean and also being extended to
Biscayne Bay, or such parcel or parcels thereof as the City
Council shall deem appropriate, into such suitable Height
District or Height Districts, as the same are defined and
set forth in Section 16C of said Ordinance No. 289 so that
no building may be erected or constructed on or upon such
parcel or parcels of land to a height in excess of eight
(8) stories, or in excess of ninety (90) feet in height above
grade; by increasing, decreasing or otherwise modifying exist-
ing requirements as to size of yards, courts and other open
spaces; and by prescribing the percentage of lot or lot area
that may be occupied and by regulating and limiting the den-
sity of use or the concentration of population thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing be and the
same is hereby called to be held on the 15th day of September,
1965, at 2: 30 P. M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Miami
Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is here-
by directed to give fifteen (15) days notice of the time, place,
and object of said hearing by public notice thereof, published
in the Miami Beach Daily Sun, a newspaper of general circulation
in said City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1965.
