Resolution 11651 RESOLUTION NO. 11651
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA for itself and the citizens of the community
that express recognition be made and profound appreciation be
expressed to each and every Department Head, and all partici-
pating City employees , and to the management and maintenance and
operational personnel of all public utilities for their
exemplary devotion to duty and untiring diligence during
Hurricane Betsy in maintaining and restoring vital services
to the community, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida that the United States Weather Bureau, the
daily newspapers, TV and radio stations be commended for their
unceasing efforts in informing and advising the public as to
the location and movement of the hurricane, thereby reducing
loss and damage to an irreducible minimum.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of November, 1965.
