Resolution 11654 RESOLUTION NO. 11654
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach requires the services of
a person capable of handling responsible public relations work
in connection with convention to be held in the City of Miami
Beach under the designation of "Convention Assistant" , and
WHEREAS the City Council has determined that said position
requires a person possessing peculiar and exceptional qualifi-
cations of a professional and educational character not
susceptible to precise delineation, and
WHEREAS the City Council has determined that RONN DE LANEY
possesses the necessary qualifications for said position, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has prepared an agreement for
employment of said RONN DE LANEY in the position of convention
assistant for a period of six months for the agreed total com-
pensation of $6, 000.00 payable as set forth in said agreement,
in accordance with the terms and provisions of said agreement,
with which the City Council is familiar, and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be to the best interest of the
City of Miami Beach to enter into said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
said agreement for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach,
and the appropriate financial and disbursing officials of the
City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby directed to pay and
disburse the sum or sums to the said RONN DE LANEY as specified
and set forth in said agreement.
