Resolution 11658 RESOLUTION NO. 11658
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, to retain the World Headquarters of Juniof Chamber In-
ternational in the City of Miami Beach did on July 21, 1965 offer
to Junior Chamber International the sum of $50, 000, and
WHEREAS the Junior Chamber International is confronted with
the necessity of deciding upon several offers made by other
cities in other countries to locate its headquarters therein, and
WHEREAS the location of said Headquarters within the City of
Miami Beach has brought and will continue to bring world wide
prestige of inestimable value to the City, and
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach has been the situs of the
World Headquarters of said Junior Chamber International continu-
ously since 1955 and the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is vitally and keenly interested in permanently retaining said
Headquarters within the corporate limits of the City of Miami
Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that its said action on July 21,
1965 in making said offer be and the same is hereby reiterated
and confirmed, and that said Junior Chamber International be and
it is hereby earnestly urged to retain its Headquarters in the
City of Miami Beach and to continue the cordially cooperative
relationship existing between it, the City and its citizens .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of November, 1965 .
