Resolution 11659 RESOLUTION NO. 11659
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA that it desires to, and does hereby reiterate
its pride that the said City of Miami Beach has been the situs
of the World Headquarters of Junior Chamber International con-
tinuously since 1955 and that the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach is vitally and keenly interested in retaining said
Headquarters within the City of Miami Beach permanently, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said City Council is
greatly interested in locating said Headquarters in the vicinity
of the City 's Auditorium and Convention Hall, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the said City Council that no
effort will be spared to find a suitable and appropriate site
within the City for said permanent Headquarters and that if it
be determined that said site should be on land owned by the
City of Miami Beach, then in such event the land for said site
shall be leased to Junior Chamber International for a term of
ninety-nine (99) years, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution, duly certi-
fied, shall be transmitted forthwith to the appropriate
officials of Junior Chamber International.
