RESOLUTION NO , 11693
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE APPLICATION TO THE HOUSING AND HOME FIN-
ANCE AGENCY OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR A
GRANT TO DEVELOP THE FOLLOWING PROPERTY TO BE
USED FOR BATHING BEACH AND PARK PURPOSES :
SOUTH SHORE OCEAN FRONT PARK, PHASE I
WHEREAS, The City of Miami Beach is desirous of obtaining
and developing additional lands to be used for parks, bathing
beaches, and related recreational purposes ; and
WHEREAS, The City of Miami Beach has a comprehensive
plan for the acquisition and development of certain lands to
be used for outdoor recreational purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to make application to the Housing and Home Finance
Agency of the Federal Government for a grant under the Housing
and Urban Development Act of 1965, to aid in the development
of the following described property to be used for bathing beach,
park, vehicular parking, and related recreational use : South
Shore Ocean Front Park, Phase I(Lots 1 through 6, Block 1,
Freedman and Cope Subdivision, according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 83, of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida) .
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS16th DAY OF December, A.D. 1965
