Resolution 12357 RESOLUTION NO. 12357
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, is considering amending Ordinance No. 289 of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, commonly known as "The
Zoning Ordinance of Miami Beach, Florida", so as to authorize
the rental of sailboats on all parcels of land zoned for
business uses and fronting on Biscayne Bay, on condition
that no sailboat rental operation shall be permitted on any
portion of the Bay less than one thousand feet in width from
the point of the operation of such rental business, and
further provided that no sailboat rented shall be equipped
with auxiliary power of any kind, nor shall any sailboat
rented be for the purpose of boat sales, or for fishing,
sight-seeing, or pleasure charters, or for the sale of
nautical or other equipment or boat supplies,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing
be and the same is hereby called to be held on the 17th day
of April, 1968, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Miami Beach, Florida, for the purpose of considering
said proposed amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Clerk and Finance
Director be and she is hereby directed to give fifteen (15)
days' notice of the time, place and object of said hearing
by public notice thereof, published in the Miami Beach Daily
Sun, a newspaper of general circulation in said City.
