RESOLUTION NO. 11747
WHEREAS, the Secretary of the Army of the United States,
as Lessor, and the City of Miami Beach, as Lessee, have hereto-
fore entered into a Lease dated April 12, 1955 by the terms of
which said City leased 4.80 acres of land on U. S. Army Corps
of Engineers Miami Beach Reservation, Florida, for recreational
purposes for the benefit and use of the general public, and
WHEREAS, said City desires that approximately 2.55 acres
of the leased premises be utilized for Youth Camp Development
and other non-profit organizations for recreational purposes
for the use and benefit of the general public, and
WHEREAS, said Lessor consents to said change in the provi-
sions of said Lease and has prepared and submitted "Supplemental
Agreement No. 1", which accomplishes the desired purpose and
with the contents of which the City Council is familiar,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
"Supplemental Agreement No. 1" in the name and on behalf of
said City.
